How I Work
I offer a grounded, heart-centred counselling approach that supports women experiencing burnout, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion and creative blocks.
My work is compassionate, practical, and empowering, with a focus on restoring energy, building resilience, and creating meaningful change. I support you in moving from feeling stuck, depleted or disconnected toward greater clarity, self-trust and a more sustainable way of living and creating.
I integrate talk therapy with somatic awareness, creative expression, mindset exploration, and practical strategies tailored to your needs. This allows us to work not only with your thoughts and emotions, but also with your body, patterns and lived experience. At the core of my approach is the belief that healing is more than fixing problems, but deepening connection with your wholeness, your voice and your capacity to move forward in a way that feels authentic and aligned. Each session is guided by your individual needs, pace and goals.
I integrate processes from:
Somatic Therapy.
Expressive Arts Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Inner 'Parts' Work
Somatic Awareness
A central focus of my work are somatic journeys. This is a guided process to assist you in gaining deeper awareness of felt sense and body sensations. I use a combination of visualisations, symbology and metaphor to guide you into attuning, feeling, sensing and listening in to your body. This deeper inquiry opens a whole new world of meaning and insight.
Somatic awareness and processing can help release stored trauma memory held in the body. Unlocking memories and past experiences stored in the body, allows a new sense of restoration in the nervous system. As a trauma informed therapist, I establish grounding and safety before exploring the deeper felt sense of the body.
Attuning to deeper felt-sense awareness, can reveal a whole landscape of stored memories and hidden insights, which exist beyond the rational mind. The body can communicate insights that can help reset the nervous system and guide you to a healing and transformation on a powerful cellular level.

Expressive Arts Therapy
In my sessions, I offer you the opportunity to express yourself creatively. Creative expression can offer a sense of freedom and relief from strong internalised feelings. Creative expression offers regulation and activates right-brain, which can reveal new perspectives which may not be accessible using the rational, cognitive left-brain.
The use of crayons or pencils to create colour, shapes and symbols, can help express strong internalised feelings. I encourage movement, role-play, dream explorations, rituals and journaling to promote further expression of the inner world.
Creative expression can help us access authentic parts of our being and become a way to find ultimate freedom. Absolutely no previous art experience or skill is required for these creative processes.

Inner 'Parts' Work
Inner 'Parts' work explores the different 'parts' or aspects that make up our personality. Wounded or conflicting 'parts' within us can make us feel disconnected and unsettled, creating confusion and struggle in our lives. These 'parts' are aspects of ourselves that may experience deep feelings of shame, sadness or abandonment.
These wounded or conflicting 'parts' of us can often be caused by past trauma or negative experiences. Acknowledging their origins and offering them compassion can assist in our healing process. Dialoguing with 'parts' offers deeper understanding, reveals new insights and creates a deeper sense of healing and wholeness.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)
The CBT approach is well researched and an evidenced-based approach, which helps to identify how our thoughts impact our behaviour. Negative thought patterns and limiting beliefs can reinforce unhealthy responses and behaviours. The brain forms pathways based on habits. A CBT approach offers the opportunity to change the brain by 'rewiring' new neural pathways.
I support individuals to gain more understanding into how limiting thoughts and beliefs may be impacting them. The counselling process offers an opportunity to create new attitudes, beliefs, affirmations and change. A positive mindset helps create healthier neural pathways to move through life with more direction, purpose and confidence.

Solution-Focused Therapy / Coaching
Solution-Focused therapy is a goal focused coaching style. I use this approach to help you achieve your goals. This approach focuses on creating goals and finding solutions. It is a strength-based approach that helps you identify strengths and resources to create practical solutions for overcoming challenges and achieving desired outcomes.
This strength-based approach aims to guide you towards developing resilience, strength, empowerment and purpose. This process aims to enhance self-worth, motivation and a positive growth mindset. I aim to support you to develop strategic action toward your goals, to create positive change and thrive.
